HOW I WORK
Before I start writing for you, it will be useful for me to immerse myself in your company; your brand, your values, your tone of voice and the key objectives of your business. This doesn’t need to be a long, drawn out process, and can usually be done in a session or two – either face-to-face, over the phone or even via email. This will help me produce an authentic and engaging piece of writing that your audience can trust.
You may not have completely nailed exactly what it is you want to produce. I can provide input into the creative process. I’ve worked on content editorial boards, and have delivered high profile campaign strategies. Using these experiences I can advise on content themes and approach, including what channels may or may not work for the project or campaign in question.
UNDERSTANDING THE BRIEF
I am meticulous in getting to know the brief, the aims and objectives you have for the content, and the ‘so what’ for your readers. This part of the process is so important to ensure I produce the highest quality content.
PUTTING YOUR IDEAS INTO WORDS
I want to produce a compelling story that readers not only understand, but also engage with and enjoy. It’s about explaining the complicated in a way that’s not patronising. It’s about removing the jargon and instead writing in a tone of voice that endears readers to the key messages. It’s about giving them the information they need which helps them form the opinions you wanted them to believe in.
"For me it's about keeping it simple, being original and, basically, writing fantastic copy."
